I’ve made this many many times.. always a little different. but here is the base
- 1/2 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/8 teaspoon chili powder
- cumin – lots of cumin actually.
- 3/4 teaspoon instant minced onion – I just finely chop some onion.
- 1/2 tablespoon white vinegar
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder – or a bunch of minced garlic
- 1/8 teaspoon paprika
- 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- I usually add some mild curry too.
Directions
-
Place in sauce pan and stir well, simmer at a very low temperature for 15- 20 minutes. (I never do this.. i just stir the sauce in a bowl, then skip to the next step and let it all cook together for a while)
-
pour over browned ground meat!
I don’t bother with the tomato sauce anymore..just dice 2 small tomatoes
Cumin and mild curry I use about a tablespoon
